Complimentary Support Group for Families, Caregivers & Guardians

Date: Every Thursday

Meeting Time: 11:00 am

Due to Covid-19 this group will meet virtually. Please mention during

registration if you don't have access to Zoom.

Facilitator: Kira Turner, MSW, LMSW

The Lighthouse would like to invite caregivers, family members, and guardians

to join us in our complimentary, therapist led, support group focusing

on the challenges of care-giving and living with a traumatic brain injury. We invite you to join others in similar situations to share experiences, provide support, and learn from one another. It is

during times of difficulty that we must come together (digitally) to support and reassure

each other, you are not alone, we can get through this together.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information

about joining the meeting. Weekly reminder emails will be sent with the Zoom link to participants.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call (989) 673-2500 or email: info@lighthouserehab.com

The Lighthouse has specialized in traumatic brain & spinal cord injuries since 1987, but the experience in care-giving has been extended over the years of service to other neurological disorders, behavioral and developmental disorders. The Lighthouse takes pride in the quality of care they serve to their residential and outpatient clients. We look forward to meeting you and helping with any issues, information needed, education or support that you may be seeking. With the combined knowledge and experience we are thankful that we are there for each other.

If there wasn't HOPE there would be no Lighthouse!

When someone suffers a traumatic brain injury (TBI), the entire family is affected. Studies show that caregivers of people who have suffered a brain injury may experience feelings of burden, distress, anxiety, anger, and depression. If you are caring for a partner, spouse, child, relative, or close friend with TBI, it is important to recognize how stressful this situation can be and to seek support services (Family Caregiver Alliance)
